The fine print, in plain English.

1. Who we are

Tradies First is run by George Prieto, a sole trader, ABN 55 365 731 634, as part of Online First. We invoice you and look after your website. Contact us at hello@tradiesfirst.com.au. We reply Monday to Friday.

2. What the service is

Tradies First is an ongoing, managed website service. We design, write, build, host, maintain and update a website for your business for a monthly fee. It is a service, not a one-off website sale.

3. Free designs

Requesting designs is free and there is no obligation. Once we have your business name, trade and service area, we email you 2 to 3 designs within 24 hours, Monday to Friday (a request after hours on Friday lands on Monday). The designs stay ours unless you sign up.

4. Price and billing

• The price is $99 per month. There is no build fee.
• We are not registered for GST, so no GST is added. If we register in future, $99 per month will include GST: your price does not go up because of it.
• Your first monthly payment is taken when you choose your design and sign up, then monthly in advance on the same date. Over a year that is $1,188.
• If a payment fails and is still unpaid after 14 days, we may pause your website until it is paid.
• We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before any price change.

5. What is included

• As many pages as your business needs: no page limit
• Design, build and the words on your site
• Hosting, security and updates
• Your .com.au domain while you are with us
• Google search setup and Google Business Profile help
• Quote form with email alerts and photo uploads
• Updates to pages, services, photos, prices and contact details
• Simple logo help if you do not have one

There is no page limit: your site has as many pages as it takes to explain your business. We do not offer a CMS (a login to edit the site yourself) or a blog; instead, email us any change and we make it.

These are extra, and we always quote them in writing before starting: an AI receptionist that answers your calls; online booking, payments or a shop; business email mailboxes; ongoing SEO or Google Ads to push you up the rankings; copying across a large existing website; custom features beyond a standard trade site.

Updates are usually done within 2 business days of your email. We look after hosting, security and updates and fix problems promptly, but, like any website, we cannot promise your site will never be unavailable.

6. Google

We set your site up so Google can find it and list it, and help you set up your Google Business Profile. We do not promise a particular ranking, number of visitors or number of enquiries. Ongoing SEO and advertising are separate services.

7. Your domain

If you need a domain, we register a .com.au in your business name (the .au rules require it to match your ABN or business name) and pay its renewals while you are with us. It is yours: if you leave, we hand over control of it at no cost, usually within 5 business days of your request. If you already have a domain, you keep it and your registrar account; we only point it at your new website.

8. Cancelling

• There is no minimum term and no exit fee. Cancel any time by emailing us.
• Your website stays up until the end of the month you have already paid for, and no further payments are taken. We do not refund part months, except under the money-back guarantee below.
• 30-day money-back guarantee: if you are not happy with the service, email us within 30 days of your first payment and we refund that payment in full and switch the website off. It applies once per business. Your domain stays yours.
• After that, the website is switched off and deleted within 30 days. Ask before then and we will send you a copy of your enquiries and the photos and content you gave us.

9. Who owns what

• Always yours: your business name, logo, photos and any content you supply, the words we write about your business, and your enquiries.
• Ours: the website design, code and templates. You can use them as part of the service while you are subscribed.
• You confirm you have the right to use anything you send us (for example photos taken by someone else), and that claims about your business, such as licences and insurance, are accurate.

10. Taking the website with you (buyout)

If you leave and want the website itself, not just the domain, you can buy it out:

• In your first 12 months: $499.
• After 12 months with us: free.
• What you get: a complete copy of the website files (every page, image and style) ready to upload to any web host, the words and photos on the site, and a spreadsheet export of your past enquiries. You can use and change them however you like, forever. We send them within 5 business days of payment.
• What does not come with it: hosting and the quote form's email alerts, which run on our systems. Your new web host or developer will need to connect the form to their own email service; the files include a short note explaining how. Moving the site to a new host is not included, but we can quote it.
• Your domain is always yours (section 7), bought out or not.

11. Your rights

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Where the law allows, our liability for a problem with the service is limited to supplying the service again or refunding the fees for the affected period.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will email you at least 30 days before the change applies. Your personal information is handled under our privacy policy.
